Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be able to accept these Terms where you live. If you are under the age of majority, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Accounts and access

1. You can play as a guest. An account is needed to save progress, gold, collections and Pokémon Adventure partners.
2. You are responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping your password safe. We cannot recover a lost password by email, since we store none.
3. One person, one account is fine; creating accounts to farm rewards or dodge a ban is not.
4. We may limit access when needed for security, abuse prevention, moderation or server capacity.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

1. Cheat, exploit bugs, or use bots, scripts or modified clients.
2. Try to access other accounts, our servers or our database without permission.
3. Disrupt rooms, matches, chat or the servers (for example spamming or flooding).
4. Harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse other players.
5. Use offensive, unlawful or infringing trainer names, room names or chat messages.

4. Names and chat

You are responsible for the trainer names, room names and chat messages you submit. You allow us to store and show them as needed to run and moderate the Service.

5. Gold, Pokémon and other in-game items

Gold, Pokémon, tickets, partners and other in-game items have no real-world value. They cannot be bought, sold or exchanged for money, and you do not own them. We may rebalance, change or reset them, for example to fix bugs or undo cheating.

6. Moderation and enforcement

To protect players and the Service we may remove names or messages, rename accounts, take back rewards gained by cheating, and suspend or ban accounts. Breaking these Terms can lead to a warning, a temporary suspension or a permanent ban.

7. Fan project and intellectual property

1. Ditto's Playground is a non-profit fan project with no ads, no purchases and no monetization. For fans, by fans.
2. Pokémon and all related names, characters, sprites, music and sounds belong to Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures and The Pokémon Company. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
3. Parts of the code come from open-source projects and stay under their licences (the Credits page lists them).
4. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property to you.

8. Availability and changes

1. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", for free.
2. We may add, change or remove games and features at any time, including balance changes and resets.
3. We may take the Service down for maintenance or updates without notice, or end it.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in your profile. It is deleted at once with everything linked to it.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy at https://dittosplayground.com/#privacy.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for loss of data or progress. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access when needed to enforce these Terms, prevent abuse or comply with the law.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's place of residence, unless mandatory consumer protection law of your country says otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Updates are posted at https://dittosplayground.com/#terms. If you keep using the Service after an update, you accept the updated Terms.
